  • →Your hosting service asks for one on sign-up, the way a phone company does.
  • →Amply never sees it, and never charges you anything. Ever.
  • →The free tier covers 10 GB, over a thousand songs, and around half a million plays a month.
  • →Past that it's a few dollars a month, billed by your host, and you can cap it.

This is your account, in your name. That's the whole point, nobody can take your music down or change the terms on you. It also means the bill, the password and the account are yours to look after.

You're now hosting your own streaming service, and your own site for uploading songs to it. Sign in with the email address you gave, a code gets sent there, so there's no password to remember.
